Is Galacta Jewelry Water-Resistant?

(Here’s what we tested — and what it means for you)

One of the most common questions I get — and rightly so.

Galacta jewelry holds something irreplaceable: a drop of your milk, a lock of hair, maybe a cord stump…
And when something that personal is made into jewelry, you want to know: is it safe? Durable? Can it survive daily life? Water?

So I didn’t guess. I tested it.

What did we test?

In March 2025, I placed a Galacta pendant in a bowl of water.
Not for an hour. Not for a day.

Since March 10th, it’s been fully submerged — and it’s still there. The test is ongoing.

And the results?
✔ Color — unchanged
✔ Texture — firm and stable
✔ No cracks, no separation, no cloudiness

But that's not all.

I also wear my own Galacta jewelry — every day for years.
I shower, wash my hands, live with it.

And I regularly hear from my clients:
???? “It still looks perfect!”
???? “I forgot to take it off and nothing happened!”

Can I wear it in water?

Short answer: yes.
Longer answer: yes — but with care.

Water itself isn’t the enemy.
However, chlorine (in pools) and salt (in seawater) can affect silver over time. Also, beware of the harsh chemicals in house-cleaning detergents.

So:
✔ Washing hands? Yes.
✔ Showering? Yes.
✔ Sleeping with it? Sure.
✖ Pool or sea? Better not.

Treat it like what it is — a memory worth protecting.

What makes it so durable?

Galacta jewelry is made using premium UV-stable resin, specially formulated to preserve inclusions like breastmilk or hair.

They’re:
– Moisture-resistant
