General Terms and Conditions
Shipping Policy
All orders are processed within 5 to 20 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your inclusions. You will receive an email when your inclusions arrive, and another e-mail notification when your order has shipped.
Please note that in some extraordinary situations, there may be a longer delay due to unforeseen circumstances such as many orders or supplier delays, custom orders, extensions due to consecutive holidays, annual leave, illness, and the like. In this case, you will be notified of the circumstances and informed about the possible deadline for the delivery of your jewelry.
If the buyer fails to receive the package, it will automatically be resent to Galacta Jewelry. The buyer will need to cover the full shipping costs for resending the package. Please keep an eye on the tracking code to prevent this situation and contact your local post office in case of any delays or missed deliveries.
Shipping from Croatia to UK and EU takes 5-10 business days, and from Croatia to the US, and the rest of the world usually takes 10-15 business days.
Shipping Rates and Estimates
5€ for Croatia (flat rate) and starting with 7€ for everywhere else in the world.
Croatian orders will be sent with DPD, while all others will be sent with standard mail services such as Croatian Post, USPS, Royal Mail, Deutsche Post, etc.
Custom Duties
Please note that if you aren't located in the European Union, your parcel might be charged by your country's customs office.
Galacta Jewelry is in no way responsible for such duties, it is solely a buyer's responsibility.
How do I check the status of my order?
When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status.
If you haven’t received your order within 30 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at galacta.jewelry@gmail.com with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.
You would like to give someone Galacta Breastmilk Jewelry as a present, or you would like the shipment to arrive before a certain date:
Since the time of making jewelry is flexible and depends on many factors, it is difficult to guarantee the arrival of the finished jewelry if you do not order it at least 2 months before the desired date (3 if you are outside of the European Union). This especially applies to holiday gifts such as Christmas, Valentine's Day, etc.
If the recommended deadline has passed, we advise you to give a Gift Voucher, and you can also choose a digital card with it, completely free of charge.
How to ship milk and other inclusions?
Please, pack your milk (1-10 milliliters, or up to 0.4 fluid ounces) in a plastic bag made for breast milk storage (you can buy it at the pharmacy). Pack it in two or three bags, just for added security and to prevent spilling. Write your name, address, and order number on the bag.
It doesn't matter if the milk was stored in the freezer previously, just warm it at room temperature before packing, to avoid condensation forming inside of the package.
If you are sending a lock of hair, provide as long strain as possible and secure it within a paper pouch. Write your name and order number on it.
If you are sending an umbilical cord or placenta, it needs to be dried and preserved before shipping. I only need a tablespoon amount or less, of any of those.
If you are shipping a tooth or dried flowers, cloth, or anything similar, provide a dedicated plastic pouch or a bag and secure it with air bubbles so they won't be broken or damaged in transport.
DO NOT send any irreplaceable material, as there is always a possibility that the package gets lost in the mail, and that is, unfortunately, something we can't control or prevent.
Then put it in an envelope with air bubbles and send it to me via regular mail with insurance in an envelope should be as small as possible, ideally A6 or smaller. Please, avoid boxes and large format envelopes, as bulkier items tend to ship at slower rates than small items. You will receive a tracking number and be able to track your package and claim insurance if the package gets lost.
If you don't want to send via insured mail that's ok too. It costs less and tends to ship a little faster, but you don't get a tracking code in most countries, so you don't know if your package gets lost in the mail.
*IF YOU ARE IN GERMANY* Please note that your package will arrive probably sooner than you think. It is of utmost importance to keep an eye on the tracking and to be at home when the Deutsche Post courier arrives because if the delivery fails, the package will be sent back to me immediately and there will be additional shipping costs for resending.
*IF YOU ARE OUTSIDE OF THE EUROPEAN UNION* please, follow carefully the instruction sections:
-Make the package as small as passion be, and avoid bulky envelopes. Instead, use a plain envelope like you're sending me a personal letter
-Don't put Galacta into the recipient's name
-Don't send more than 10 ml of milk
-At the PO mark the package e as a Gift and give it NO commercial value.
If you don't follow carefully these instructions your package will be kept t at the customs office and will trigger customs duty, unfortunately, not to mention arrival delay. I am not responsible for any customs duties and they aren't included in the price.
*For US residents* USPS provides you with a tracking number even if you don't buy insurance for your package.

The envelopes up to 30gr (10.58 oz) are 10.41$
40gr (14.10 oz) is 12.60$
50gr (16.36 oz) is 14.47$
In some cases, US shipping may be as low as 3.4$, but I'm not sure how it is named. Some customers were able to obtain this kind of shipping at their local POs.
Take note that I am not able to provide you with all international postage costs, so, please, use USPS for reference for the possible costs.
Returns
If you think there is any kind of problem with your Galacta jewelry, please follow these instructions:
1. send an e-mail with the subject Returns and order number to galacta.jewelry@gmail.com, describe what the problem is, and attach a photo
2. if we determine that the jewelry needs to be replaced or repaired, you will receive further instructions depending on your specific situation and location.
There is no possibility of a refund as each item is custom-made to order.
How to take care of Galacta Jewelry / Warranty
Galacta Jewelry (the only one in the industry) gives you a two-year warranty for your jewelry. The guarantee covers possible discoloration and rotting of milk inside jewelry, or yellowing of resin. We create a duplicate for every order that we keep for the reference point and to be able to check the quality and preservation of the jewelry constantly during the period covered by the warranty.
Also, if metal parts detach, we will reattach them at no additional cost.
Note that the warranty covers only remake or fix, not the refund.
However, some discoloration of milk beads is normal, but it should be very subtle from a white to yellow-creamy hue or a little more transparent, as milk is an organic, living structure.
Avoid wearing your Galacta Jewelry in showers, mineral baths, spas, and swimming pools, as salt water, chlorine, and heat may affect the discoloration of your breastmilk.
Remove your Galacta Jewelry before exercising or before bedtime. Excessive perspiration and body oils can sometimes surface and tarnish the piece.
Tarnishing of metal is not covered by this warranty, as it is normal.
Before you put on your Galacta Jewelry, be sure any lotions, perfumes, and makeup are absorbed into your skin. Apply all hair products, especially hair spray, before you put on the Galacta Jewelry.
Remove your Galacta Jewelry when cleaning. Harsh chemicals from dishwater detergents and house chemicals will tarnish sterling silver and discolor your breastmilk
Do not store your Galacta Jewelry next to heating vents, window sills, or in a car. The heat will cause your breast milk to discolor. The less air and light your silver is exposed to when you aren’t wearing it, the less tarnish will occur, making it easier to have shiny jewelry for years to come.
Your Sterling silver pieces should be cleaned with a special Sterling silver cloth. This will remove any tarnish and dullness and keep your Sterling silver Jewelry looking like new. You will receive a small pink cloth for jewelry cleaning with each order.
Never use tissues or paper towels for cleaning silver. These products will scratch the surface of the Jewelry.
Before storing, make sure your Galacta Jewelry is dry, as moisture speeds the tarnishing process so it’s important to make sure your Sterling silver Jewelry is dry before putting it away.
Ideally, store your Galacta Jewelry in a soft-lined box or pouch. Try to keep pieces apart, so that they don’t rub together or tangle up.
