Returns
- Please always e-mail me first – don’t send jewelry back without prior contact.
- Attach clear photos so I can assess the situation quickly.
- Together we decide whether your piece needs repair, a remake or just a small adjustment.
- Further instructions depend on your location and the type of issue.
Galacta jewelry is made to be worn and loved for a long time, but small issues can still happen. Please don’t worry – most problems can be solved with a repair or remake.
✦ When should I contact you?
Please get in touch if you notice any of the following:
- The milk stone has visibly changed colour in an unusual way (dark spots, strong yellowing, decomposition).
- The milk stone or another inclusion stone has separated from the metal setting.
- The piece arrived damaged in transit.
- There is a clear manufacturing defect that affects the look or functionality of the jewelry.
For general care tips, natural ageing of metals and milk stones, and full warranty terms, please see the Warranty & jewelry care page .
✦ How to start a return or repair
- Send an e-mail with the subject line “Returns + your order number” to galacta.jewelry@gmail.com .
- In the e-mail, describe what happened and attach a few clear photos of the jewelry (overall view + close-ups of the issue).
- Based on the photos and your description, I will let you know whether the piece needs to be repaired, remade or only cleaned, and send you precise instructions on how and where to send it back.
- Please do not ship the jewelry before you receive my instructions – this helps avoid delays, customs issues and lost parcels.
Who covers which part of the shipping costs (to the studio and back to you) depends on the type of issue, warranty status and your location. You will always receive clear instructions by e-mail before sending anything back.
✦ What is covered by the warranty?
In line with the Galacta 2-year warranty, the following issues are generally covered:
- Significant colour change or decomposition of the milk inside the stone.
- Yellowing of the epoxy resin used to create the milk stone.
- The milk stone or inclusion stone separating from the metal setting.
These situations are handled through free repairs or remakes of the milk stone or inclusion stone, not through refunds. The goal is always to restore your jewelry to a beautiful, wearable state.
✦ What is not considered a defect?
Some changes are natural with time and regular wear and are therefore not considered defects:
- Natural oxidation (tarnishing) of silver.
- Very subtle shifts in the shade of the milk stone (from white to soft cream or slightly more transparent).
- Damage caused by improper use, chemicals, impacts, scratching or bending the metal.
- Lost jewelry or lost pieces (e.g. a missing earring or chain).
Of course, if you are unsure whether what you see is a natural change or a defect, feel free to contact me with photos – I will gladly check.
✦ Refunds & exchanges
Every Galacta piece is made especially for you and contains your own inclusions (milk, hair, baby teeth, etc.). Because of this highly personalized nature, refunds and exchanges for a different model are not possible. Instead, I offer repairs, remakes and adjustments within the warranty terms.
If you have any doubts before placing an order (model, size, colour, design), please feel free to e-mail me – I am happy to help you choose the best option before production starts.
My goal is always to keep your memories safe and your jewelry beautiful. If you ever feel something is not quite right with your piece, please write – together we will find the best solution.
